Abstract
The chemical components of volatile oil from rhizomes of Alpinia conchigera Griffith and A.platychilus K.Schumann was studied. The volatile oil was obtained by steam distillation. The chemical constituents were separated and identified by GC-MS and HPMSD chemstation analysis, and their relative contents were determined by the method of area normalization. In this study,29 compounds in A.conchigera and 15 compounds in A.platychilus, together with their contents, were determined.Among them, the major constituents were eucalyptol(19.071%),3-methyl-1H-indazole(12.233%),βcaryophyllene(8.902%),β-pinene(5.679%),(1E,6E,8S)-1-methyl-5-methylene-8-(1methylethyl)-1,6-cyclodecadiene(2.624%),3-(4-acetoxyphenyl)-1-propene(2.473%),β-elemene(2.399%),chavicol(2.353%),β-bisabolene(1.790%),(1R)-(+)-α-pinene(1.406%),(-)-α-panasinsen(1.165%) and δ-elemene(1.135%) in A.conchigera.They were 2-propenoic acid-3-phenyl-methyl ester(77.715%),β-pinene(3.494%),1R-α-pinene(3.361 %),1-cyclobuten-1-yl-benzene(2.666%),bicyclo [3.1.0]-4-methyl-1-(1-methylethyl)-hex2-ene(2.542%),α-phellandrene(2.442%) and indole(1.459%) in A.platychilus.In addition,compounds(1R)-(+)-α-pinene,β-pinene,eucalyptol and(Z,Z)-α-Farnesene were found in these two plants and the total contents of them were 26.26% and 6.97% in A.conchigera and A.platychilus,respectively.The above information suggested that the aroma components and their contents in the two Alpinia species were significantly different. The results will be useful for revealing the mechanism of aroma formation of these two plants and exploring them.
