也门69区块位于马里卜-夏布瓦(Marib-Shabwa)盆地的中部,区块油气资源丰富,周边已陆续发现了众多的油气田,反映出该区块具有良好的勘探潜力。通过研究发现,高产油气藏都集中在盐下或下盐间,盐岩对源自Madbi组的油气的垂向运移有很强的封堵作用,对海外类似的勘探工作具有重要意义。
