Janine Randerson discusses three installations of new media art projects by artists from Aotearoa (the Maori designation for New Zealand) shown earlier this year at the Shanghai International Science and Art Exhibition. While they vary in their use and foregrounding of technology, all three strive to find artful ways to engage in ecological and political questions about our relations with nature.
