Bio
Zsolt L. Husz received the B. Eng. and M. Sc. degrees in computer engineering from “Politehnica” University of Timisoara in 2002 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K., for his work on articulated human tracking and behavioural analysis in video sequences in 2008.
From 2001 to 2004, he worked as software engineer at Computer Voice Systems, Inc. and COMNEON GmbH, and part time as a Teaching Assistant at “Politehnica” University of Timisoara. After graduating, he worked as a Research Programmer at the Medical Research Council at Human Genetics Unit, Edinburgh. His work contributed to novel 3-D warping technologies and he has developed a communication protocol for transmission of large volumetric 3-D images over the Internet. In 2010, he joined as a Research Scientist BAE Systems at Advanced Technology Centre, Bristol, U.K. Currently, he is working in the video analytics group and his interest focuses on surveillance and human behavioural analysis.
Dr. Husz is a member of the British Machine Vision Association.
