Bio
Mirella Barboni is Master in Experimental Psychology (University of São Paulo, 2008) and PhD in Neuroscience and Behavior (University of São Paulo, 2012). Currently, is associate scientist in the Department of Ophthalmology at Semmelweis University, Budapest (Hungary), developing research projects related to the evaluation and modulation of visual functions. The research projects aim i) to evaluate dichoptic visual functions in stereoanomalous patients and to study the effects of oculomotor and dichoptic interventions in amblyopic patients and ii) detailed phenotyping of patients with inherited ophthalmic diseases for monitoring the natural course of the disease and investigating the genotype-phenotype correlations.
