个人简介
Zizang Yang received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physical oceanography from the Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China, in 1989 and 1992, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in oceanography from the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, USA, in 1998.
From 1999 to 2004, he was with the Northeast Fisheries Science Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Woods Hole, MA, USA. He was involved in the development of operational satellite ocean remote sensing products and a combined hydrodynamic and individual-based particle tracking system in the Mid-Atlantic Bight region. Between 2004 and 2009, he developed the digital tidal datum fields in many U.S. coastal areas to support the NOAA’s Vertical Datums project. Since 2004, he has been with NOAA’s National Ocean Service (NOS), Silver Spring, MD, USA, developing numerical hydrodynamic modeling systems. Since 2009, he has been involved in developing the NOS operational hydrodynamic forecast systems. His current research interests include satellite remote sensing and theoretical/numerical studies of coastal ocean processes, digital time series and image processing, and the development of operational forecast systems.
