Bio
Zihan Gao (S’17) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2018. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA.
He is currently a Graduate Research Assistant with the National Science Foundation and Department of Energy funded Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, The University of Tennessee. His current research interests include motor drives and medium voltage power conversion systems with wide bandgap devices.
