Bio
Zia ur Rehman received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physics from the University of Peshawar, Peshawar, Pakistan, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in physics and photon science from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Gwangju, South Korea, in 2016, with a focus on short and ultrashort laser-induced structural transformation in transport dielectrics and dynamics of such structural modification, which include time-resolved interferometry and shadowgraphy.
He was a Senior Scientist with the Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, where he was involved in intense laser–solid interaction. He is currently involved in the development of pulsed laser deposition facility for fabrication of thin films and development of laser-induced short-pulsed X-ray source.
