Bio
Zhibo Li received B.Eng. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in nanophononics from the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, U.K., in 2015. After graduation, he joined the Key Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials Science, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, as a Postdoctoral Researcher to develop the technology of III–V nanolasers growth on silicon. He also worked at DTU Nanolab, Technical University of Denmark as a Visiting Researcher to establish silicon-on-insulator batch processing techniques in 2016. He is currently a Research Associate with the EPSRC Future Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Hub, School of Physics and Astronomy, Cardiff University, Cardiff, U.K. He has more than eight years of experience in semiconductor processing for a variety of devices covering nanophononics, optoelectronics, and silicon photonics. He is currently working on several projects on design, fabrication, and characterization of III–V quantum dots lasers for telecommunication and sensing applications.
