Bio
Dr. Guomin (Kevin) Zhang is Professor of Construction Engineering and Management and Associate Dean in the School of Engineering managing the Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Department at RMIT University, Australia. He obtained PhD from Queensland University of Technology, Australia and postgraduate and undergraduate degrees from Chongqing University, China. He worked at Cooperative Research Centre for Construction Innovation, the University of New South Wales and Victoria University before he moved to RMIT University in 2008. Over the past 15 years, he has won many government and industry funded research projects with a total value of over 10 million Australian dollars, and has published over 200 peer review technical papers and supervised 14 HDR students to completions. He is a receipt of RMIT Research Excellence – Team Award for Resilient Infrastructure in 2017. Dr. Zhang’s main research interests include sustainable construction and infrastructure asset management, supported by digitalized engineering and life cycle assessment. At present, he is leading the Sustainable Construction research group at RMIT University which consists of eight researchers and over 20 PhD students.
