Research interests
Dr. Zengxia Pei's research works focus on elucidating the coherent interplay of component-structure- property aspects of nanomaterials, in conjunction with combined demonstrations from advanced characterizations (including in/ex-situ techniques), experimental measurements, and theoretical calculations. He has successfully applied nanoscience knowledge and technology for the design and fabrication of a variety of nanomaterials, and utilized these materials for several sustainable energy applications including electrocatalysis, aqueous batteries, photocatalysis, etc. Currently he is working on aqueous batteries for efficient energy storage, with specical interests on functional polyelectrolytes, advanced electrode materials, and device design.
