I am an environmental geoarchaeologist exploring human-animal-environmental interactions throughout history, mainly in the southern Levant. I specialize in micro-geoarchaeology, using optical microscopy (phytoliths, calcitic microremains), micromorphology and mineral characterization to explore archaeological questions. My research focuses on archaeological dung, refuse, subsistence and settlement practices, and recently, open science initiatives. Really though, I know far too much about dung.
