Yusuf Yildirim

Yusuf YILDIRIM (1982) graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul in 2006, in 2006. In 2006, he passed the Specialization Exam in Medicine (TUS) and started his Specialization Training in Medicine at Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital. During her residency training, she worked as an assistant researcher in international prospective multicenter studies in the fields of refractive surgery and retina. After his specialty training that lasted between 2006-2011, he completed his compulsory service as a specialist physician in 2011-2012 at Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital and Ağrı-Patnos State Hospital. In 2012, he passed the Chief Assistant exam which is held by the Ministry of Health, and was entitled to work as a Chief Assistant at Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital. Yıldırım, who succeeded in the exam held in France in 2016, has the title of Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO). He succeeded in the International Council of Ophthalmology Basic Science, Optic Refraction, Clinical Science and Advance exams he entered in 2017-2018 and holds the title of Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO). He succeeded in the International Council Ophthalmology-Cornea Subspeciality exam in 2019. In 2020, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh with his success in the International Council Ophthalmology exams and was awarded the title of MRCSEd (Membership of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh). Yıldırım is a member of Turkish Ophthalmology Association (TOD) and Turkish Republics Ophthalmology Association (TCOD). Yıldırım, who is an active member of the TOD Cornea-Scholar Surface Unit and the Cataract and Refractive Surgery Unit, also serves as the General Secretary of the TOD Young Ophthalmologists Group. Yildirim, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2018 and has been working as a lecturer-lecturer at the Health Sciences University Beyoğlu Eye Training and Research Hospital since September 2018, still works in the Cataract-Refractive Surgery and Cornea Department of the Basaksehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital (Istanbul). He is married and has 2 children.
