个人简介
Yunwei Li (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2006. In 2005, he was a Visiting Scholar with Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Ryerson University, Toronto, ON, Canada. In 2007, he was with Rockwell Automation Canada, Cambridge, ON, Canada, before he joined the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He is currently a Professor and Interim Department Chair with the University of Alberta.
His research interests include distributed generation, microgrid, renewable energy, high-power converters and electric motor drives. From 2019 to 2023, he was the Editor-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics Letters. He was also an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. Dr. Li was the recipient of the Nagamori Foundation Award in 2022 and the Richard M. Bass Outstanding Young Power Electronics Engineer Award from IEEE PELS in 2013. In 2020, he was the General Chair of IEEE Energy Conversion Congress of Exposition (ECCE). From 2021 to 2023, he is the AdCom Member at Large for IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS). He is recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher.
