个人简介
I am a Research Fellow in Biomedical Engineering, deeply passionate about unraveling the intricasies of tribological interfaces and mechanised molecules of the real and nano world. Equipped with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and more than a decade of invaluable research experience, my unwavering delication lies in advancing scientific knowledge within the realm of tribology and interlocked molecules.
Research Interests and Expertise:
My research interests primarily revolve around the fascinating realm of mechanised molecules at interfaces, particularly in the areas of hydration lubrication and controlled release systems. My specialised expertise includes:
(i) Investigating the mechanism of hydration lubrication;
(ii) Developing robust molecular lubrication systems for biomedical and industrial purposes;
(iii) Designing mechanised interlocked molecules for controlled release and molecular detection;
(iv) Constructing organ-on-chip platforms for medical scanning and translation.
Moreover, I have a keen interest in exploring the intricate molecular interactions occurring at diverse interfaces, deepening our understanding of their behaviour and fostering potential breakthroughs in various scientific disciplines.
Contributions and Publications:
Throughout my career, I have made significant contributions to a diverse range of research projects spanning the field of chemistry, biomedical science, and mechanical engineering. My work has shed light on the mechanism of hydration lubrication and the development of mechanised molecules, with a particular focus on their applications in the biomedical and industrial sectors.
My research findings have been published in esteemed international journals, positioning me within the top 5% of my discipline. Some notable publications include Chem (IF 25), Advanced Functional Materials (IF 19), Journal of the American Chemical Society (IF 16), Small (IF 15), Biomaterials (IF 15), and Bioactive Materials (IF 14).
Remarkably, 87% of my publications fall within the top quartile (Q1), significantly surpassing the average of 22% for my research field. Testament to the impact of my work, my publications have garnered over 3000 citations, and my h-index stands at 26 in Google Scholar (until June 2023). Among my 48 journal papers, I have nine publications with over 100 citations, with the highest reaching 447. Additionally, 19 of my publications have been cited more than 50 times, and my i10 index has reached at 35 since 2018.
These metrics reflect the recognition and influence of my research in the scientific community, reinforcing the impact and quality of my contributions to the field.
Awards and Recognition:
I have been awarded 2x 1st class Scholarships, 2x Outstanding Students of the Year, and 3x Academic Forum Awards.
I have been selected for the best presentation and outstanding students at Supramolecular Summer School in China.
I have been elected 2x best poster presentation awards at conferences.
In 2013, I was awarded a very competitive scholarship “National Postgraduate Scholarship” due to my significant contribution to supramolecular host-guest interactions and their inclusions.
During my PhD at UTS, I was awarded 3x competitive scholarships and several travel funds.
Since coming to UCAS, I was awarded “UCAS Advanced Research Assistant Award” and “Outstanding Postdoctoral Researcher” due to my contribution to soft matter and drug screening for COVID-19.
Professional Involvement:
I am currently on the editorial board of Global Translational Medicine. Additionally, I am a Review Editor for Frontier in Chemistry and Frontier in Materials. I have also been privileged to serve as a Guest Editor for a special issue of Frontier in Chemistry. Recognised for my expertise and knowledge, I have been invited over 50 times to serve as a peer reviewer for world-leading journals from prestigious publishers such as RSC, ACS, Wiley, Elsevier, and KeAi.
I have been nominated as a Chartered Member of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the International Younger Chemists Network, the Federation of European Biochemical Societies Network, and the Australian Nanotechnology Network.
In summary, my professional journey has been dedicated to unravelling the Nature of molecular tribology and interlocked molecules for biomedical and industrial purposes. Through my research, I strive to contribute to the global understanding of hydration lubrication and mechanised nanovalve systems.
