Bio
Dr. Yue Ban is a researcher at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, doing research in the field of quantum computing, quantum simulation and quantum sensing. Her research activities are dedicated to the forefront fields of quantum computing, quantum control and quantum sensing. She received Ph.D. degree at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain with Thesis “Effects of spin-orbit coupling in quantum semiconductor systems” in June 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Evgeny Sherman, obtaining the maximum qualification Cum-Laude and the International Mention.
From Oct. 2013 to Apr. 2017, she was a Lecturer and an Associate Professor at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai University, China. From May 2017 to May 2019, with Juan de la Cierva Fellowship, she was working in the group of Prof. Gloria Platero in the Institute of Material Science of Madrid, ICMM-CSIC, developing protocols of large-scale quantum information transfer in quantum dot systems. From Aug. 2019 to July 2022, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Dr. Jorge Casanova at UPV/EHU, focusing on quantum machine learning and quantum sensing. Since July 2022, she is a researcher at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, doing research in the field of quantum computing, quantum simulation and quantum sensing. Her expertise strengthens the interface between quantum control and solid-state physics, which allows her to boost the multidisciplinary research of quantum science and technologies on versatile solid-state platforms.
