Bio
I received my PhD in condensed matter physics from University of Science and Technology of China in 2005, and a bachelor of engineering in materials science and engineering from Hunan University in China in 1997. My PhD work is about the transport properties and vortex dynamics of La1.6-xNd0.4SrxCuO4 films. I am familiar with thin film growth by using magnetron sputtering and pulsed laser deposition techniques. My scientific career as a crystal grower started in February 2009 when I joined the crystal growth group at Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research, Stuttgart, Germany. Since January 2012 I had been working at Ames Laboratory under the project “Novel Materials Preparation and Processing Methodologies.” Currently I am working at Crystal Growth Facility, Institute of Physics, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
