Ying Zhang

Ying Zhang (M'02) received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1989, 1992, and 1995, respectively. From 1996 to 1997, he was a postdoctoral fellow with N anyang Technological University, Singapore. Since 1998, he has been working with Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology as a Research Scientist and is concurrently an Adjunct Associate Professor with Nanyang Technological University. His current research interests include nanoscale optical measurements, photonics, adaptive signal processing and control, and image processing. Dr. Zhang received the National Outstanding Doctorial Dissertation Award from the State Council of China in 1999, the Best Project Award from Photonics Europe’ 2004 from the International Society for Optical Engineers in 2004, the Outstanding Research Project Award from SIMTech, A-STAR, Singapore in 2004, and the IES Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award of Singapore in 2005.
