个人简介
My lab focuses on the role of macrophages in the development of atherosclerosis. I am interested in defining mechanisms of how mitochondria integrate signals from various metabolic pathways (e.g. cholesterol, fatty acid, amino acid, and glucose) and regulate macrophage immune activation during atherosclerosis initiation and development stages. To achieve our long-term goal, we use state-of-the-art technologies including Seahorse real-time cell metabolic assays, next-generation RNA sequencing (bulk and single-cell), high-resolution live cell imaging, and fluorescence-activated cell sorting analysis. In addition, my lab has a variety of mouse models for in vitro and in vivo analysis of macrophage mitochondrial functions as well as metabolic reprogramming during atherogenesis.
