Bio
Currently, Yash is a Senior Researcher with National Renewable Energy Lab. Apart from technology, Yash is also interested in technology policy issues. Yash received an M.S. degree in electrical power engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2006 and a Ph.D. degree in electrical power engineering from Imperial College London, London, U.K., in 2014. From 2006 to 2010, he was at Converteam (G.E. Power Conversion), Berlin, Germany, as a Senior Research Engineer. During his tenure, he was involved in research about power transmission and distribution operations. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Imperial College London, London, UK, in 2014. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Scientist with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Energy and Environment Division, Richland, WA, U.S. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Research and Development Head in Power/Energy Systems with Enzen Global Solutions Adelaide, Australia/Bangalore, India. With Enzen Yash focused on Power Transmission- Distribution Systems consulting and DERMS implementation for the Australian and European markets. Yash is a reviewer of IEEE transactions on Sustainable Energy/Smart Grids and contributes as an editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. Yash is the secretary of the IEEE DMS working group.
