Bio
His research focused on ore-forming processes of magmatic Ni-Cu deposits. Based on systematic petrology, mineralogy, and geochemistry work on Ni-Cu deposits in the Xinjiang and Jinchuan deposit in Gansu province, he revealed the characteristics and formation mechanism of high-nickel tenor deposits, demonstrated the relationship between oxygen fugacity of the Ni-Cu deposits in Central Asian Orogenic belts, and proposed the sulfide enrichment mechanism of the Jinchuan deposit was the result of sulfide liquid percolation in a crystal mush. He has served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and given oral presentations in international Ni-Cu (PGE) conferences.
