Bio
Yu Pu (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in association with NXP Research, Eindhoven, in 2009.
From 2009 to 2011, he was a Research Assistant Professor with The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan. From 2011 to 2012, he was a Research Scientist with the Accelerator Team, IBM Research Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Principal Scientist with NXP Research, where he led research and development in always-on processors in premium-tier mobile devices. From 2014 to 2019, he was with Qualcomm Research, Raleigh, NC, USA. He is currently with the Alibaba Computing Laboratory, Sunnyvale, CA, USA, leading research and development in low-power system-on-chip (SoC) for Internet of Things (IoT)/edge computing at scale to facilitate the cloud-to-edge and end-to-end infrastructure. He is also an Adjunct Professor with Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, and Zhejiang University (ZJU), Hangzhou, China. He has coauthored more than 30 articles. He holds over 20 U.S. patents.
Dr. Pu serves as a Technical Program Committee Member for various IEEE/ACM conferences. He is currently an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers (TCAS-I).
