Bio
Xuanhong Cheng received the B.S. degree in biology from Wuhan University, China, in 1998, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and Ph.D. degree in bioengineering from the University of Washington, USA, in 2004. After postdoctoral training with the Department of Surgery, Massachusetts General Hospital, she joined Lehigh University in 2008 where she is currently an Associate Professor with the Bioengineering Program and Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The focus of her research is to develop microfluidic devices for cell and pathogen analysis. In combination with nanomaterials and biosensors, these devices are expected to perform automated sample processing and sensitive analytic detection towards point-of-care uses.
