Research
The long-term goal of Dr. Mo's research is to understand the molecular basis underlying tumor initiation, progression and drug resistance, and to bridge the gap between vast cancer genomic dataset and unmet clinical need. A major focus of Dr. Mo's research is to interrogate and target protein-protein interaction (PPI) network through system and chemical biology approaches.
As an investigator in the Cancer Target Discovery and Development (CTD2) Center at Emory University, Dr. Mo has identified potential oncogenic PPIs and tested their functional importance in cancer by innovating and leveraging high-throughput screening technologies. These studies will generate candidate PPI targets and perturbagens to inform the future cancer therapy
