Bio
I am a materials scientist with research interest in 1D materials (e.g., gold nanoparticles), 2D materials (e.g., graphene), surface chemistry, and nanolithography.
I received my B.E. in Materials Science from Zhejiang University, China, from which I graduated with the distinction of being the top student. I then pursued my Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University under the guidance of Professors Freddy Boey and Hua Zhang, where I worked on the synthesis and applications of graphene oxide-based materials. I am now a postdoctoral fellow with Professor Chad Mirkin in the Department of Chemistry at Northwestern University, where I am working on scanning probe nanolithography and metal nanoparticles for electronic and optical devices and bio-applications.
