Xiaoyong Lu

Xiaoyong Lu is a passionate field leader and executor in RNA therapeutics development. He has over fifteen years’ combined experience in Organic Synthesis, medicinal chemistry and oligonucleotide therapeutics. He got his PhD. in Organic Chemistry from Ohio University and continued postdoc training at The Ohio State University and University of Maryland College Park. He had worked in medicinal chemistry in Chempartner CRO company before. He currently hold a Director of Chemistry position at Sirnaomics Inc.. He leads the oligonucleotide drug targted delivery team and oligonucleotide synthesis lab to develop novel RNA targeting delivery platform and siRNA-drug conjugates. Lead the development siRNA-targeting delivery by oligonucleotide conjugates and technology transfer in manufacture, including two leading pipelines STP135G and other projects for Peptide Docking Vehicle (PDoV-GalNAc) targeting delivery system. Endosomal release enhancemnt and mechanism study. He has published few dozens of publications and a key-inventor of ten patents in siRNA delivery, conjugation, siRNA-gemcitabine conjugation for cancer treatment etc.
