Xiaoting Jia received the B.S. degree in materials science from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2004, the M.S. degree in materials science and engineering from SUNY-Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY, USA, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2011. She is an Assistant Professor with the ECE Department, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA. Before joining Virginia Tech, she was a Postdoctoral Associate with the Research Laboratory of Electronics, MIT. Her research interests include multimaterial multifunctional fibers, biosensors, wearable electronics, and nanoelectronics.
