个人简介
I study vegetation-climate interactions in the context of climate change. My research work includes
spatial ecology, plant physiology, remote sensing, and climate change. Our lab work on both basic
and applied scientific questions in ecology. Specifically, we study the ecological and environmental
controls of vegetation function and structure at the macrosystem scale. We develop novel approaches
to quantify photosynthesis, leaf traits, and canopy structure remotely. On the applied science side,
we study global forest mortality due to drought and sea-level rise and saltwater intrusion (SWISLR).
Using ultra-high resolution remote sensing data, we combine machine learning and spatial modeling
to understand tree mortality at individual level at the regional to global scales.
