I am an assistant professor (Tenure Track) in the chemistry department of Hasselt University in Belgium. My focus is on the design and synthesis of hybrid materials, in which both components play a functional role. I am inspired by supramolecular chemistry and the use of weak interactions to tune material properties. The materials are designed for optoelectronic applications, such as solar cells, light-emitting devices, and photodetectors, as well as for power-to-molecules applications.
