Bio
William Sweatt received the Ph.D. degree in optical sciences from the
University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, USA, in 1977. Since then, he has been doing optical engineering and system
design at Sandia and the other National Labs. His favorite projects have been the design of microsolar PV
optics, the first extreme-UV lithography system, designing of the laser isotope separation systems, several optical
computing architectures, lithographically patterned microoptics, etc.
