Bio
William B. Euler received the B.S. degree in chemistry and mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, and the Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry from Florida State University, Tallahassee.
After postdoctoral work at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, he joined the Faculty at the University of Rhode Island (URI), Kingston, in 1982. He currently serves as a Co-Director of the Sensors and Surface Technology Partnership and is the Chair of the Department of Chemistry, URI. His research work has focused on polymeric materials, especially those polymers with delocalized electronic systems. Recently, his interests have moved to using polymers in sensor applications, including chemical, temperature, and strain sensors.
