Dr. Yu is the Thrust Leader for the Solid State Transformer and also works with an advanced soft-switching technique, ultra high efficiency inverters, high-voltage power conversion, and distributed energy storage devices.
His research interests include soft-switching power converters, grid-tied inverters, industrial power electronics, and renewable energy power systems.
