Bio
Wen-Juan Sun received the Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, in 2014. She has been in civil engineering with Lehigh University as a Research Associate since 2016. She has published more than 50 refereed articles in top-tier technical journals and international conferences. Her research focuses on developing and applying computational models to solve engineering problems for supporting sustainable and resilient infrastructures. At system-level, she has developed computational models to assess the risk and resilience of critical infrastructures, with considerations of different types of interdependencies and large uncertainties in terms of rigorous models. At fine levels, she has developed physics-based computational models to analyze failure mechanisms of infrastructure materials at multiple scales. She has also been serving as a member in the Objective Resilience Committee and the Nano-mechanics and Micro-mechanics Committee, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). She has been serving as a Reviewer for more than ten journals.
