Wen Qi Zhang was born in Shanghai, China, in 1981. He received the B.Sc. degree in applied physics from Shanghai University, Shanghai, in 2004, and the master’s and Ph.D. degrees in nonlinear fiber optics from The University of Adelaide, Adelaide, SA, Australia, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. In 2012, he joined the Department of Physics, The University of Adelaide, as a Research Fellow. Since 2016, he has been a part of the Laser Physics and Photonic Devices Laboratories, University of South Australia, Adelaide. His research interests include nonlinear fiber optics, optical communication, fiber optics sensing, and machine learning for fiber optic applications.
