Bio
Wei-Sheng Liu received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from
National Central University, Chung-Li, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from
National Central University in 2006. The Ph.D. dissertation dealt with molecular beam epitaxial growth and development
of long-wavelength InAs/GaAs quantum dot heterostructures and lasers.
He was a Senior Technical Staff with Epitaxy Engineering Division, Epistar Corporation, Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., for
the R&D and production of GaN LEDs in 2006. Since August 2009, he joined Yuan Ze University, Chung-Li, Taiwan,
R.O.C., as a Faculty Member in the Department of Photonics Engineering. His current research interests include III-V
and oxide-based semiconductor materials and the related optoelectronic devices, quantum dot photonic devices, IGZO
thin-film transistors, and CIGS solar cells.
