Dr. Jinbin Wang is an Associate Professor in the Biotechnology Research Institute at Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences (SAAS). He received his Bachelor's degree in Food Science at Qingdao Agricultural University and a Master’s degree in Food Science at Jiangsu University in 2008, with a research focus on agricultural products processing and storage engineering. Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. degree in Food Science and Engineering at Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) in 2018. As a member of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Agricultural Genetics and Breeding, and the Supervision and Test Center for Ecological Environment Safety of Crops, Dr. Wang works on safety assessment and the molecular detection of genetically modified organisms (GMO), which include target-taxon specific screening, construct-specific and even-specific identification. He also developed rapid and accurate techniques for the detection of meat adulteration in livestock and poultry species.
