个人简介
Wa Ode Dwi Daningrat is an epidemiologist at the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology (EIMB) Indonesia. Her interest is focusing on epidemiologic research of population dynamics and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiles of Streptococcus pneumoniae in Indonesia and utilising whole-genome sequencing to investigate the presence of genes and mutations in pneumococcal isolates related to AMR. She started at the EIMB in 2016 and has since been involved in collaborative research projects between EIMB and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on pneumococcal carriage study, vaccine impact evaluation, and AMR profiles in Indonesia. She was the project coordinator for a collaborative project between Eijkman Institute, CDC, and several top referral hospitals in Indonesia on a capacity building activity to strengthen AMR surveillance on S. pneumoniae and H. influenzae in the country. She was a recipient of the 2018 International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) Research Grant Award for her research on the AMR profile of S. pneumoniae. She was granted an award in Antimicrobial Resistance by the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP) in 2019. She received a scholarship from the Indonesia Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in 2021 and currently pursuing a DPhil in Clinical Medicine at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, the University of Oxford, with a research topic on genomic epidemiology of S. pneumoniae isolates from the Indonesian population.
