Bio
W. Scott Hoge (S'98–M'02) received the B.A. degree in physics from Colorado College, Colorado Springs, in 1991, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, in 1994 and 2001, respectively.
From 1994 through 1997, he was a member of the NMS Communications digital signal processing team, focused on the implementation of echo cancellation and fax modem algorithms. His Ph.D. thesis presents the application of digital communication theory to non-Fourier MR image acquisition methods. He is currently an Instructor at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston. His research interest is in applying adaptive filtering, system identification, and subspace optimization concepts to magnetic resonance imaging and medical image analysis.
