His research interests includes Development of chemical kinetic mechanisms for hydrocarbon fuels, oxygenated fuels, oil-sand derived fuels and energetic materials. Applying these mechanisms to applied problems such as combustion in homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) engines and diesel engines.. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. William J. Pitz is the member of many international affiliations. He/ She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He /she has authored of many research articles/books related to Development of chemical kinetic mechanisms for hydrocarbon fuels, oxygenated fuels, oil-sand derived fuels and energetic materials.
