主要科学研究方向为动脉硬化的发病机制、冠心病介入治疗术后再狭窄的防治研究,心血管疾病(动脉硬化、心力衰竭、再狭窄)的基因治疗和细胞治疗、心脏病的现代康复治疗等。承担或参加了多项科研项目,如卫生部基金、北京市自然科学基金、国家自然科学基金、“八五”攻关、“九五”国家科技攻关计划课题、“十五” 国家攻关课题、“九五”863计划课题、 “十五”863计划课题,卫生部部属(管)医院重点项目等国家/省部级科研项目的研究以及北京大学985课题,211课题的研究。
