The main goal of my research is development of methodology for radionuclide diagnostics and therapy of malignant tumours.
Main focus is currently on receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) as molecular targets. Aberrant expression of RTKs is a part of malignant phenotype. Non-invasive radionuclide imaging of RTK expression provides important prognostic, predictive and pharmacodynamics information, making cancer treatment more personalised.
My main strategy is development of peptide-based tracers labelled with radionuclides.
Other strategies (e.g. the use of tumour-seeking small molecules, pre-targeting or combined systems) for delivery of radionuclides to tumour lesions may be considered for particular projects.
