Bio
Dr Vivien WU’s research is centred on Chronic Disease Management for Older Adults and Caregivers with Technology, and Intergenerational Programs to promote Healthy Longevity in the Community, Professional development of the Healthcare Workforce; and Nursing Education. Her research work has gained international recognition. Dr Vivien has been awarded with Early Career Investigator Award, Interstellar Initiative by New York Academy of Sciences and Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development, and Asian University Alliance Scholars in 2020. Vivien has published widely in international refereed journals and book chapters. Vivien has served as editorial board reviewer for International Nursing and Medical Journals.
Dr Vivien has been awarded with Mind the Gap – Mental Health Fund in 2021 for Community Dance Program for Older Adults, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Welfare Foundation Research Grant in 2020 for Development of an Intelligent Advisory System for Safe and Active Aging, National University of Singapore Start Up Grant in 2019 on e-health program for older adults, Mind-Science Centre Grant in 2019 for the Intergenerational Reminiscence and Narrative Therapy to promote healthy aging in the community, Ministry of Education Tertiary-Research Fund in 2017 for the Healthcare Workforce Professional Development study. In addition, Dr Vivien has been awarded with Ministry of Health-Health Science Research Grant to work on project to enhance self-management of chronic conditions for patients and caregivers.
