个人简介
Vishakha Sharma received the PhD degree in computer science from
Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, in May 2015. Her dissertation title is “Language Design and
Implementation for Computational Modeling, Simulation and Visualization”, which focuses on programming languages
with applications to computational biology and systems modeling. As a part of her research, she has designed and
implemented BioScape, a high-level modeling and simulation language for the stochastic simulation of biological and
biomedical systems. She has developed various computational models such as viral transport; microtubules
polymerization; drug response in breast cancer; JAK-STAT signal transduction pathway; pH-triggered antibacterial
coatings; bifunctional surface with polymer brushes and pluronic-lysozyme conjugates; and effects of counterfeit
components.
