个人简介
Virginia Laura Ballarin is Full Professor in Signal Processing area at the Electronics Engineering Department of the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina and Director of the Image Processing Research Group at Research Institute of Science and Technolgy in Electronics (ICYTE) CONICET-UNMDP. (Research category 1 SPU).
Currently Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Bioengineering, Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute in Sciences and Technology in Electronics ICYTE and Member of the Strategic Planning Committee de la IFMBE International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering.
She received her Electronic Engineer degree in 1984 and her Master Degree in 1998 UNMDP and her Ph. D. in Biological Science or. Bioengineering title UNT in 2003.
She is the author of 5 chapters in books, more than 75 papers in international journals and more than 120 presentations in international and national conferences. He has directed 12 doctoral theses and more than 20 CONICET scholarships between doctoral and postdoctoral studies.
He has been member of several Peer Comitees in academic evaluation of Graduate and Postgraduate Careers for Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Colombia ARCUSUR System since 2008. He has been President of the Argentine Bioengineering Society from 2013 to 2015.
