I am presently working under the consortium research platform on Hybrid Technology for higher productivity in Horticultural and Agricultural crops (Rice). My research is mainly focused on 1. To Develop high yielding hybrids with better grain quality and resistance to biotic and abiotic diseases. 2. Development of heterotic pools and 3. Diversification of male sterility sources and their fertility restoration. In addition to this I am also engaged in mapping QTLs for high grain number in rice
