I have worked on:
Congestion control (CC) for the wide internet. I seek simplicity and formalism in CC designs. Our protocol Copa (NSDI'18), is currently being used in production at Facebook. Next, we created a framework (CCAC) for formally verifying congestion control behavior (SIGCOMM'21). We used this framework to prove a surprising impossibility result in congestion control (SIGCOMM'22).
Verifying the performance of heuristics other than congestion control using ideas we developed in CCAC.
RFocus (NSDI'20), a system we designed that makes it practical to have single communication links use thousands of antennas by moving beamforming functions from the endpoints to the environment. Each "antenna" here is passive and emits no power of its own. Their simplicity enables the scale.
