Bio
Valerie Scott is an engineer in JPL's Microdevices Laboratory and holds chemistry and biochemistry bachelor's degrees from Brandeis, a Ph.D. from Caltech in chemistry, and a master's degree in engineering from Purdue. She has multiple publications, patents, and awards, including the Charles Elachi Award for early career achievement. She currently works with JPL's Commercial Program Office as Chevron Technical Fellow, helping to manage and grow JPL's largest commercial partner. She has also led targeted studies for mission concept ant technology formulation.
