Bio
Dr Valérie Santschi is Full Professor and Head of the LAB-Teaching and Research Healthcare Systems, Ethics, Interprofessional Practice (SEI LAB) at La Source, School of Nursing Sciences, HES-SO University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Pharmacist, she obtained a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (with distinction) from the University of Geneva in the field of medication adherence. She then completed a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship in health services research and systematic reviews at the University of Montreal and McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
Her research activities focus on health services, digital health technologies as well as the conduction of systematic reviews with meta-analyses in public health. Supported by different fundings, she conducts studies on health services through the development of innovative models of care with a focus on team-based care interventions and patient drug intake as well as digital health (evaluation of innovative devices in supporting patient drug intake and home care). She is also active in the HES-SO mentoring program to support the academic careers of young women in the health and social work fields at HES-SO (https://mentorat-hes.ch/)
