Bio
Lorenzino Vaccari is a post-doc researcher at the European Commission Joint Research Centre in the Digital Earth and Reference Data Unit. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science and telecommunications from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2009. He is now working in the field of Interoperability and Spatial Data Infrastructures. Specialties include development of global, international and local Spatial Data Infrastructures, semantic interoperability among heterogeneous geographic services and datasets, GIS management, P2P architectures for emergency response and semantic web issues. His work supports the development of the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) and the European Spatial Data Infrastructure established by the INSPIRE directive.
