个人简介
V. Scott Solberg | Professor of Counseling and Human Development RESEARCH PROGRAM
Translating Career Development into Research, Practice, and Policy
The Massachusetts Institute of College and Career Readiness (MICCR)
launched using a three-year grant by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES). MICCR (http://sites.bu.edu/miccr/) is a collaboration between BU, the Rennie Center on Education Research and Policy, the MassINC public policy think tank, and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE). MICCR responds the need to increase post-secondary completion rates by providing school district and city administrator teams with a MICCR Senior Research Fellow who will offer expertise in research methodology and analysis.
MICCR will also connect educators, researchers, and policy-makers to a wide array of career and workforce development research, practice and policy activities being conducted by faculty at Boston University’s School of Education, the Rennie Center, and MA DESE. MICCR will be home to Boston University’s Laboratory for Career and Workforce Development (BU-LCWD; http://sites-staging.bu.edu/careerdevelopmentlab/) that will feature Dr. Solberg’s continuing collaboration with the National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD- Youth) and funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. His work with NCWD-Youth blends research, technical assistance, and policy recommendations for states and districts seeking to scale career development implementation through the use of individualized learning plans (ILPs). BU-LCWD provides researchers and educators with access to Dr. Solberg’s resiliency measures, print materials, and media presentations and interviews.
